It is our great pleasure to announce the inaugural Asia Pacific Orbital Disease and Thyroid Eye Disease Meeting for 2023.
Our organising committee has worked hard to put together a program which will benefit medical and allied health professionals of all levels. The theme for this meeting is “Orbiting the Multi-Faceted World of Thyroid and Orbital Diseases”. Thyroid eye disease remains forever interesting and challenging. Exciting research initiatives have led to a better understanding of this disease on a molecular basis, which has, in turn, opened a host of new possibilities for targeted therapies on the horizon. In this meeting, we also bring into focus other manifestations of orbital diseases. This will allow the participants to have a more holistic and comprehensive understanding of the entire spectrum of orbital diseases. Expert orbital surgeons will share their experiences, distilled over the many years of practice, and crystallize their approach to the management of various orbital diseases, as well as discuss new approaches to the orbit which have increased our options and strengthened our surgical armamentarium.
So much we have lost, being so far apart. With physical meetings coming back again, we hope you will take this opportunity to visit Singapore, a city that is constantly evolving, reinventing, and reimagining itself, and where all travellers can enjoy quarantine-free travel*. Any regular exchange of ideas and opinions can only bring about progress and advancement. We sincerely hope that during this meeting, you will rekindle your old friendships and build new ones, whilst enjoying the robust scientific programme on offer.
We wish you a most pleasant stay in Singapore.
Very Best Regards,
Prof Seah Lay Leng
